About John Lord

John Lord is the President of Jones Group Europe, where he focuses primarily in Eastern Europe on cybersecurity for critical infrastructure and government agencies, and on economic development in the region. John brings more than three decades of experience to the European subsidiary of Jones Group International.

John is also President of Dynology Corporation, part of the Jones Group Enterprise that is focused on a broad range of solutions for the U.S. DoD and Intelligence Community. John previously served for the Jones Group as a Senior Vice President, where his leadership helped Jones Group establish a significant business base in Saudi Arabia with their Ministry of Defense.

Prior to Jones Group, John was the Chief Operating Officer and President of Huntsville Operations for Camber Corporation (now a subsidiary of Huntington Ingalls Industries). In these roles, he led sustained company growth by developing a corporate strategy designed to open new markets, realign its businesses, and build a robust and highly competitive pipeline for the market. He also led acquisitions for Camber’s domestic and international business. John also served as the Deputy Group President for SAIC’s Defense Solutions Group, headquartered in McLean, Virginia, where he led growth and operational initiatives and had functional responsibility over Program Execution, Contracts, Pricing, Procurement, Quality and Security organizations for a team of more than 12,500 engineering, federal and communications professionals.

John has also held a position as the Chief Operating Officer for Preston Aviation Solutions, an international, wholly-owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, where he focused on leading Preston’s businesses in the Americas and Europe. Under John’s leadership, Preston secured major deals with the FAA, NAV Canada, EuroControl and most of the major civil aviation authorities in Europe. From 1993 to 1997, John served as the Vice President and Corporate Director of Contracts for CACI, Inc, where he helped facilitate contracts, subcontracts, strategic agreements, and software license and service agreements with Federal agencies, state governments, and private industry.

John received his MBA from Florida Institute of Technology in 1992, and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1981. In 2008, John founded and chaired the Board of Directors for Lose the Training Wheels, Inc., a nationwide nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching children with disabilities how to ride bikes without training wheels. He remains involved with Special Olympics Virginia as a coach for a local Special Olympics women’s basketball team.
