Victims and families of the Marines who were part of the 1983 Beirut bombing should not be excluded from the compensation they deserve.
I am very pleased to support the Fairness for American Victims of State-Sponsored Terrorism Act introduced by Sens. Tom Cotton, R-Ark. and Dan Sullivan, R-Alaska.
Thirty-nine years ago, Iran-sponsored terrorists drove a truck laden with explosives into the U.S. Marine Corps barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, killing 241 U.S. service members — 220 Marines, 18 sailors, and three soldiers — and severely injuring many others.
