EWI Welcomes Former National Security Advisor James Jones
New York - The EastWest Institute is pleased to announce that General James L. Jones, who served as National Security Advisor from January 2009 to November 2010, has joined its Board of Directors.
"General Jones was deeply involved with EWI's high-level strategic dialogue with both Russia and China before he became national security advisor, and we couldn’t be happier about him joining the board now," said EWI Co-Chairman Ross Perot, Jr.
Prior to his appointment by President Barack Obama as National Security Advisor, General Jones was president and chief executive officer of the U.S. Chamber Institute for 21st Century Energy. It was during this period that he participated in EWI-organized high-level Track 2 discussions and other EWI activities.
